Captain Jack Sparrow is my favorite, there’s so much going on with this character, so much more than meets the eye. And it is a challenge trying to capture all these feelings in a single portrait.
Drawn with graphite pencils. When I want to capture the true essence of a character, I normally choose black and white. Stripped of color, the portrait is pure lines and form, and the effect more powerful.
