This concept has been “haunting” my mind for a while. Now that it’s out of my system, I can finally sleep. At least until the next big concept!
So here we have Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow from “Pirates of the Caribbean”. Pretty sad that the whole franchise is on hold. Who knows… I’ll be keeping an eye on the horizon.
Drawn digitally on iPad Pro, with Apple Pencil, in procreate app. Oh and I painted 12 separate layers for a 0.3sec animation. Yep yep yep artists are crazy.
Initially I planned to paint the whole thing with the same skull-shaped brush. This didn’t turn out the way I had envisioned, but I’ll keep practicing. After all, “A smooth sea never made a skilled pirate”, right? ;)
