I have just embarked on my 30 day 3D journey. You can read more about this challenge here.
Oooook, Day 1 wasn’t too crazy because I am mainly trying to figure out how everything works. Since I wanted to create something solid, (and not randomly watching tutorials or sculpting without purpose) I went for something simple, that required zero sculpting.
Chess pieces are generally symmetrical to the -y axis in space, so they are super easy to build. Here I just used the ”lathe” tool to extract the shape, and then I overpainted the piece so that it looks realistic.
The background was manipulated in procreate app.
Since it was my first ever piece in nomad sculpt and 3D in general, I just … cannot wrap my head around how impressive it looks! Beginner’s luck. Well, the next days (when the actual sculpting begins) won’t be the same, my sculptures might even look hilarious but … oh, well, it’s all part of the journey!

Either record your process (No audio required) and sell them as tutorials or sell your final piece as 3D model.
Love this! Wondering how you got the wood effect. I saw you selected a texture. Where did you find it?
Thank you! I don’t remember about this particular one, but any wooden texture will do! Here I list my favorite sites for textures. (free and paid)
